Rapper Nicki Minaj and celebrity nail artist Yvett Garcia have collaborated on Pink Friday Nails, a new direct-to-consumer brand offering press-on nails. With 11 designs, prices range between $19.99 and $29.99. The collection offers a diverse selection of colors and finishes, including chrome and matte bases and simple and intricate designs adorned with up to 300 gems. Inspired by Minaj’s nail styles and memorable fashion moments from significant occasions and music videos, the collection aims to capture her signature flair.
The matte, chrome, and gem-adorned selections in the collection pay homage to Nicki Minaj’s previous nail styles, such as the rhinestone-covered set she wore during her 2022 MTV Video Music Awards performance. Some references might seem obscure to many, but fans, known as “Barbs,” are adept at making these connections.
Last December, the rapper-entrepreneur unveiled her Pink Friday 2 Eau de Parfum, priced at $42, exclusively available at JCPenney. This release joins a wave of recent celebrity fragrance launches, including Beyoncé’s Cé Noir Eau de Parfum in November, Millie Bobby Brown’s “Wildly Me,” and the debut fragrance oil from Drake’s Better World Fragrance House, primarily known for its candle offerings.
