Shiseido, the renowned Japanese cosmetic brand, is set to make its debut in India with the opening of its first store in Mumbai on October 18. This milestone is made possible through a collaboration with Baccarose Perfumes & Beauty Products Pvt Ltd, a local distributor. The store will be located at Inorbit Mall Malad, offering Indian consumers access to Shiseido’s exceptional range of beauty products.
Having initially entered the Indian market in 2001, Shiseido has been steadily expanding its presence. Earlier this year, the brand further enhanced its expansion efforts by introducing Nars Cosmetics to the Indian market. This strategic move aims to cater to the diverse beauty needs of Indian consumers, providing them with a comprehensive selection of quality products.
To strengthen its connection with the Indian market, Shiseido has appointed Tamannaah Bhatia as the brand ambassador for its Shiseido Skincare line in India. Bhatia’s charisma, talent, and timeless beauty align perfectly with Shiseido’s brand values, making her an ideal choice. Nicolas Baudonnet, Vice President of the fragrance and cosmetics division at Shiseido Asia Pacific, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the belief that Bhatia’s association with the brand will foster a deeper connection with Indian consumers.
Currently, Shiseido products are available at 62 retail outlets across India. The company aims to expand this number to 75 by the end of the year, further increasing accessibility for customers. Shiseido’s products can also be found on various online platforms, including Parcos, Nykaa, Shoppers Stop, and Sephora, providing Indian consumers with convenient avenues to experience the brand’s exceptional beauty offerings.
