Yesterday, Symrise Fine Fragrance has announced the appointment of Nicolas Beaulieu as Vice President Senior Perfumer, effective October 6, 2025.
A graduate of ISIPCA and the IFF Perfumery School, Beaulieu brings extensive experience from his global career with International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), where he most recently served as Vice President Perfumer. Having worked in New York and Shanghai before returning to Paris in 2008, he has built a reputation in the luxury segment, creating renowned compositions such as Rabanne Invictus Legend, Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Le Parfum, and several iterations of La Vie Est Belle.
“His addition consolidates the Paris creative hub as a cornerstone of Symrise’s global strategy in luxury perfumery, at a time of strong momentum,” the company stated.
Beyond perfumery, Beaulieu draws inspiration from gastronomy, wine, and history. Fascinated by archaeology and the sciences, he often describes himself as an “archaeologist of scent,” uncovering the hidden layers and complexities within raw materials. His creative philosophy centers on the pursuit of surprise and sculpting the unexpected.
Julianne Pruett, Global President of Symrise Fine Fragrance, emphasized, “Nicolas’s arrival is a powerful statement of Symrise’s ambition in fine fragrance. His creative strength will be key to driving our growth in prestige and the perfect catalyst to set new standards for the industry.”
