Yesterday, Symrise, a global leader in the fragrance and care industry, is actively searching for a new president for its Scent & Care unit following the announcement of Jörn Andreas to step down. Andreas, who took over the management of the Scent & Care segment in February 2023, had previously led the Cosmetic Ingredients division during his 13-year tenure at the company. Symrise CEO Dr. Jean-Yves Parisot will temporarily assume management of the Scent & Care division while the company looks for a permanent successor.
According to a Symrise spokesperson, Andreas chose to leave the company voluntarily to pursue new career opportunities. The process of finding a replacement has already begun.
Dr. Parisot, who formerly managed Symrise’s Taste, Nutrition & Health segment, has shifted his responsibilities to Walter Ribeiro, who has been promoted to the executive board and will now lead the Taste, Nutrition & Health unit. Ribeiro had previously served as the global head of Symrise’s Food & Beverage division.
Michael König, chairman of the Symrise supervisory board, acknowledged Andreas’ contributions, noting that he played a pivotal role in the realignment of the Scent & Care segment. He expressed gratitude for Andreas’ leadership and wished him well in his future endeavors.
