TNT Group, a global leader in engineering and design for complex packaging development, has announced the appointment of Patrick Ng (吴盛铨) to head its expansion in China. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for the company, which has historical roots in Europe and Asia and has been steadily growing its international presence.
Patrick Ng brings over 25 years of operational experience in the cosmetics packaging industry, with a robust background from prestigious brands like Coty and Avon, as well as extensive manufacturing experience. His appointment follows TNT Group’s establishment of a new office in Shanghai in 2023, a crucial step in recognizing and tapping into the vast potential of the Chinese market.
Under Ng’s leadership, TNT Group successfully participated in Luxe Pack Shanghai for the first time last April, showcasing its commitment to integrating into the local market. Ng’s role will involve leveraging his extensive network and business development skills to build and nurture long-lasting relationships with both Chinese and international beauty brands operating in China.
It is stated that TNT Group provides packaging solutions for the beauty and perfume industry and currently has offices in Hong Kong, Europe, and New York. Its clients include Penhaligon’s under the Puig Group, the perfume brand Binaurale, and the British salon fragrance brand Atkinsons, with the group’s turnover reaching 500 million US dollars.
“TNT Group positions itself not as a manufacturer, but as an expert in engineering and design, mastering the constraints of complex packaging development,” said Patrick Ng. “We have the strength and ability to translate creative ideas into real and technical industrial projects while establishing strong relationships with brands to deliver the highest quality finished products, on time. I will be the point of contact for brands in China.”
Ng emphasized the importance of collaboration with TNT Group’s Hong Kong team, which maintains direct contact with local industrial partners. This collaboration ensures proximity and responsiveness for customers, enhancing TNT Group’s service delivery in China. Additionally, the group’s connections with its offices in Paris and New York enable a seamless bridging of continents, providing a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics unique to each region.
TNT Group, led by co-founders Thomas Diezinger and Toby Cattermole, who oversee the Paris and Hong Kong offices respectively, expanded its global footprint in 2017 by opening a US office headed by Boris Schaefer.
