Recently, Amazon Beauty has expanded its offerings in the beauty and skincare segment with the launch of three new initiatives: the Derma Store, Global Beauty Store 2.0, and the Skincare Advisor tool. The Derma Store will feature a wide assortment of products from renowned derma brands such as Cerave, Cetaphil, Bioderma, Sebamed, Isdin, Avène, Episoft, Lacto Calamine, and La Shield, among others. Meanwhile, Global Beauty Store 2.0 will offer 5,000 products from over 60 international brands.
In addition to these stores, Amazon is introducing the Skincare Advisor tool to offer tailored skincare solutions based on individual skin concerns and preferences. Zeba Khan, Director of Beauty at Amazon India, commented on the initiatives, saying, “With skincare as our largest category, it was a natural next step to launch the new Derma Store to better serve the growing demand for specialized skincare solutions. We recognize that shopping for skincare online can be challenging, with customers often seeking personalized advice before purchasing. That’s why we’re introducing the all-new Skincare Advisor feature to provide tailored product recommendations.”
Khan also highlighted the importance of the Global Beauty Store 2.0, stating, “Global Beauty Store 2.0 exemplifies our commitment to offering the best global brand selection, at great value, with the fast delivery and trusted experience customers expect from Amazon.”
Amazon has witnessed strong sales in the beauty and personal care segment and aims to gain a larger market share for future growth with these new initiatives.
