Maciej Kaniowski, COO of Avon International, highlighted the importance of the partnership with Blue Yonder, stating that it would enable Avon International “to meet the changing needs of its customers, representatives, and partners in a profitable and sustainable way.”
Recently, Avon International has partnered with Blue Yonder, a leading US software firm, to revolutionize its supply chain operations using artificial intelligence (AI). This strategic move aims to enhance the company’s efficiency and responsiveness in meeting global demand.
Owned by Natura & Co, Avon is establishing a central ‘planning hub’ to streamline demand and supply planning processes. This hub will leverage Blue Yonder’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, which are renowned for their AI and machine learning (ML) capabilities.
Avon anticipates that integrating AI into its supply chain will simplify operations, improve forecast accuracy, expand omnichannel capabilities, enhance service levels, and optimize cash flow. These improvements are expected to significantly boost the company’s operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The manufacturing supply chain operations for Avon in Europe and Asia Pacific are managed by Avon Operations Polska (AOP) and Avon Distribution Polska (ADP). The core of these activities is based in Garwolin, Poland, where AOP operates the largest and most technologically advanced Avon factory in the world. This facility produces cosmetics that are distributed to approximately 40 countries across three continents.
