One notable recall pertained to Now Solutions XyliWhite Coconut Oil Toothpaste Gel, which was flagged for off-taste and flavor issues rather than benzene contamination. Nevertheless, this recall affected over 27,000 units distributed across multiple countries.
However, the primary focus of the recalls has been on benzene contamination, a carcinogenic substance posing significant health risks. From small quantities to tens of thousands of units, the affected products spanned continents, indicating a widespread issue within the industry.
