Yesterday, Henkel has announced the appointment of Rajat Agarwal as President of Henkel North America, effective July 1, 2025. The move marks a key leadership transition for the company’s largest market globally. Agarwal will continue in his role as Corporate Vice President, Packaging, within Henkel Adhesive Technologies, and will be based at the company’s Bridgewater, New Jersey headquarters.
Agarwal succeeds Pernille Lind Olsen, who is stepping down to pursue new opportunities in her home country of Denmark. With nearly three decades of experience at Henkel, Agarwal brings deep organizational knowledge and technical expertise to his new role. He first joined the company in 1997 as a research scientist in Michigan and has since held senior roles in global innovation, including four years as President of Henkel Greater China.
“It is an honor to step into this position after 28 years at Henkel,” said Agarwal. “North America is our largest global market, and I look forward to working with our teams across the U.S. and Canada to drive continued innovation, sustainability, and customer success.”
Holding a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Agarwal is known for his strategic mindset, global leadership experience, and ability to inspire high-performing teams. His appointment signals Henkel’s continued commitment to innovation and operational excellence in North America.
