Recently, CHAILEEDO has learned that Derma (Zhejiang) Cosmetics Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has officially started construction on a project in Jiaojiang District, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons of tea polyphenols and 2,000 tons of face masks. This project is a joint venture between China and South Korea, representing the first production base established in China by South Korea’s BSG Corporation with an investment of 200 million yuan.
Public information reveals that South Korea’s BSG Corporation, founded in 2014, is a high-end medical beauty production and sales company. The company owns ten major brands, including DERMABELL, Feiluosha, and COSGRAM, with products ranging from cosmeceutical skincare, beauty devices, oral beauty products, health foods, to scalp care.
Among them, DERMABELL has been awarded the “First in Consumer Satisfaction in Korea” for six consecutive years. DERMABELL’s e-commerce services have consistently topped the Douyin (Chinese TikTok) store operation rankings, transaction rankings, and Douyin small store rankings. Its flagship product, the gel soft film mask, has ranked high in both sales and reputation in the Chinese market since its entry.
It is worth mentioning that last March, Jiaojiang police helped South Korea’s BSG Corporation crack a case of counterfeit production and sales, arresting 11 suspects and dismantling 5 counterfeit production and sales dens, involving a total amount of 120 million RMB, thereby recovering losses for the company. In October last year, South Korea’s BSG Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiaojiang, establishing Zhejiang Derma Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and chose Taizhou as the location for its Chinese factory.
