Le Labo, a renowned fine fragrances brand owned by Estée Lauder, is set to mark its first regional presence in the UK by opening a boutique at Victoria Leeds mall in July. This move by the brand, owned by Estée Lauder, signifies increased trust in Victoria Leeds and reinforces the destination’s status as a leading urban location, according to its owner/operator Redical.
The debut 1,500 square foot boutique in Leeds, scheduled to open its doors in July, will span four floors and operate as an open artisanal laboratory. Here, fragrances will be freshly blended by hand and customized for each customer. Le Labo, translating to ‘the lab’ in French, collaborates with a network of artisans including flower harvesters, local farmers, candle makers, and perfumers to create made-to-order fragrances.
Each artisanal fragrance is accompanied by a personalized label featuring the date and location of the formulation, along with a message selected by the client. Le Labo Victoria Leeds will showcase the brand’s primary collection of 19 unisex perfumes and 12 candles, alongside sensory formulas for body, hair, and face, as well as its grooming products.
Le Labo stated that the opening of the store in Leeds aligns with its global presence, which spans across Europe, the US, and Asia. The brand remains dedicated to expanding in premium retail destinations, with Victoria Leeds being a valuable addition to its existing portfolio of UK boutiques and luxury concessions.
Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, commented: “Le Labo’s focus on handcrafted, high-quality fragrances perfectly complements the character and premium tenant-mix we have curated in Queen Victoria Street and wider Victoria Leeds. Being the destination of choice for such a significant regional debut, is testament to our ongoing success at Victoria Leeds. We are thrilled to welcome Le Labo this summer, as we continue to further enrich the destination’s line-up of best-in-class brands.’
