On January 8th, L’Occitane announced a restructuring of its leadership structure. The roles of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Group Managing Director will be merged into one position, effective from April 1, 2024. This move is stated to be part of the company’s transformation towards geographic balance and becoming a multi-brand group.
Current CEO André J. Hoffmann will step down from the CEO role and continue to serve as an Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of L’Occitane Group, focusing on internal strategies, policies, and leadership affairs. Laurent Marteau, the current Group Managing Director, has been appointed as the CEO of L’Occitane Group.
CHAILEEDO understands that Laurent Marteau has over 20 years of experience in the global beauty industry. He worked for LVMH Group for 15 years, holding various executive positions across multiple countries. In 2014, he joined La Prairie Group as Vice President of Global Travel Retail and Special Channels, and the same year became a member of the Board of Directors. In 2022, he joined L’Occitane Group as the Group Managing Director.
