Yesterday, Megalabs USA has expanded its dermatology portfolio with the acquisition of Geologie, a skin, hair, and body care brand sold at Target. This follows its recent majority investment in hair growth brand DS Laboratories, reinforcing the pharmaceutical company’s commitment to clinically backed beauty and wellness solutions.
While terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Geologie’s cofounders, Dave Skaff and Nick Allen, will exit the business. Founded in 2018 in collaboration with dermatologist Dr. Steve Xu, Geologie initially gained traction with a male audience through its science-driven skincare products, such as the Retinol Night Cream ($59) and Tone Control Face Cream ($39). More recently, it expanded its reach into over 900 Target locations with its Clear System acne line.
“We are thrilled to welcome Geologie into our portfolio—an innovative brand at the forefront of wellness and health for a new generation of discerning consumers,” said Fabian Rivero, CEO of Megalabs USA. He highlighted the company’s focus on delivering advanced skincare and haircare solutions, including benzoyl peroxide-free acne treatments.
Allen expressed confidence in the transition, stating, “Megalabs is the perfect steward for Geologie’s next phase of growth, while continuing our philosophy of clinically proven products that are simple and effective.”
